Asylum, trafficking and EU migrants Food Aid Network Event

Monday 24th November, 5.15-7.45pm, St George’s Crypt, Leeds

There’s an interesting event coming up in Leeds, which reflects the growing awareness of the intersection of issues of destitution, asylum and trafficking.

Leeds Food Aid Network have organised a free training event on working with asylum seekers, refugees and EU migrants, particularly those who find themselves homeless or in need of food provision, including training on how to spot the signs of human trafficking

This also indicates the growing importance of food banks and food networks as places where issues of forced labour may come to light.

There will be speakers from Advocacy Support, City of Sanctuary, the West Yorkshire Destitute Asylum Network and Hope For Justice.
